Thanksgiving Feast Program
Holidays like Thanksgiving bring more focus to the gap between the fortunate and less fortunate. Without feeding initiatives, the wonderful taste of a turkey dinner would not be possible for those in need. Each November the Chris Canty Foundation partners with the New York City Food Bank, the Long Island Food Bank, and the Salvation Army to feed the hungry.
Over the last 2 years the Chris Canty Foundation has partnered with the New City Food Bank to feed over 1,500 people each thanksgiving. In addition, the foundation partners with the Long Island Food Bank and local non-profit agencies to send out 5,000 packages filled with non-perishable items to families in need during the holidays. In Charlotte, North Carolina the foundation has partnered with the Salvation Army Women's shelter to feed 250 families during thanksgiving. This program has been an excellent platform in teaching youth he importance of giving back to those in need.

The Christmas Giveaway Program
One of the core focuses of The Chris Canty Foundation is Academic Achievement. Each year, Chris Canty dresses up with staff and volunteers to provide a Christmas party to children in NY, NJ, and NC. The Christmas Giveaway is a rewarding experience for the teaching staff and the foundation to show students that we appreciate their hard work and efforts in and outside of the classroom. Each student receives a Christmas gift, participate in the pizza party, play games, win prizes, and take photos with Chris Canty through a partnership with United Way of New City and United Way of the Central Carolinas. This is an annual event used as an academic achievement incentive program for elementary school students currently in New York City, New Jersey, and Charlotte, NC.
