Youth Hunger Awareness - Feb. 24-25, 2012

This MONTH, we will be joining the efforts of hundreds of thousands of young people all over the nation who will set aside the usual “stuff” that fills their daily lives. Instead, they will do World Vision’s 30 Hour Famine because they are “LOVE HUNGRY” – the theme for this year. By educating others, they get a taste of what the world’s poorest children and families face every day. Groups are welcome to particpate. There will be hands-on service projects during the weekend in order to make a difference in their own communities. Every $30 we raise can help feed and care for a child for a month. CONTACT US for more information.

Thanksgiving in Charlotte, NC November 16, 2011

Holidays like Thanksgiving bring more focus to the gap between the fortunate and less fortunate. Without feeding initiatives, the wonderful taste of a turkey dinner would not be possible for homeless people. On November 16, 2011, the Chris Canty Foundation will be working with the Salvation Army, located on Spratt Street in Charlotte, NC, to feed an estimated 250 homeless women and children to ensure the spirit of giving is shared with the less fortunate.
